One of our members here at Sobi Templates requested a feature for the SobiPro ST Resorts Template to allow users to add a Special Offer icon to the listings. With the XSLT code used in SobiPro templates, it's easy to add just such a feature. You could even add a 'New Listing' ribbon or if you wanted to get really tricky, you could add Featured Listings to the front page of your SobiPro directory. We'll save that for another tutorial. Let's get started on this one.

Today we are excited to announce that we have released the ST Resorts SobiPro Template to our Members. This template has been in production for just over 6 weeks, and I'm happy to say, it's ready for you to download and install.
We've built a lot of new features into this template powered by jQuery. We use this javascript framework because it's already used by the SobiPro directory, so it makes sense to stick with the same script instead of adding more. Even with all the features, we only added about 30KB of code to run it all.
While the template is geared toward Vacation Rentals, it could easily be used for other types of service businesses that offer product or service packages. Here's just a few of the features included.

Sobi Templates has been open for just a little over 3 months now, and we've released 4 templates to date. 2 for Sobi2 and 2 for SobiPro. Our Membership has grown to 76 awesome people. I can't thank each of you enough for joining the Sobi Templates club, it's been better than I could have ever expected.
We had originally offered a 2 month subscription plan, but it seems that some of you would like to have a full year of access, while others simply need just a little more time for support.
As of today, Sobi Templates is extending it's membership plans to include a 12 month Developer plan for $147, along with adding an extra month to our Basic plan to make it 3 months at the original $47 price point. Current subscribers won't be left out, as you can take advantage of a 20% discount upon subscription renewal for either plan as well. Simply use RENEW20 upon checkout.

The Sobi2 Directory Component for Joomla 1.5 has been a large part of my business and website development work for more than 3 years now. I've come to know the developers at Sigsiu.net, Radek and Sigrid Suski, and consider them great friends today.
It was the release of the new SobiPro Component for Joomla that sparked the idea more than a year ago for the Sobi Templates club you see here today. SobiPro is superior to Sobi2 in many ways, including it's super-charged template system. There's nothing else quite like it in the Joomla Extensions Directory.

The SobiPro BizTabs Template is ready for download and it's loaded full of features to make your life easier if you use the SobiPro Directory Component for Joomla and need to handle a lot of information in your listings. We've integrated jQuery Tabs to house over 60 custom fields including several new features not found in the default SobiPro Template, like the Accordian Category and Alpha Filter Menu links for starters.
We included support for many of the current SobiPro Apps available, including the newly released QR Code App, Ratings and Reviews App and the GeoMaps Field for Google Maps, but we took it one step further and added a Driving Directions box to the template as well. You can add up to 8 Lightbox Gallery images, and users can add a video with the built-in Youtube video support in the Media Tab.
